Scotland's in the World Cup — and Some of Us Still Can't Believe It

Right. I'm just going to say it.

Scotland. Are. At. The. World. Cup. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴⚽

28 years. That's how long we've been waiting. Kids who weren't born the last time we qualified are now old enough to be watching this with their own kids. It's been a long, painful, occasionally hilarious wait — and it's finally over.

And look — whatever happens out there in the USA this summer, the fact that we're there at all feels like the start of something. A new chapter. A new dawn, if you will. 😄

Which got me thinking.

What 28 Years Actually Proves

Scotland qualifying after 28 years is proof of one thing above everything else. It doesn't matter how long something has felt out of reach. When you finally decide to get serious, put the right foundations in place, and show up properly — things can change.

The squad didn't suddenly become world-beaters overnight. They got organised. They got a system. They showed up consistently and built on it. And eventually, the results followed.

And that's exactly what this series is about.
